Opportunities

Now that I am no longer moving to VA in March I have been looking around for new jobs in this area. I was throwing around the idea of Real Estate, but in this area it is just not feasible. The market is already saturated with agents, so it would be tough to break into. Especially since I don't really have the contacts and what not. I was browsing around on Monster.com and came across a posting for a HR Specialst for one of the grocery store chains in the area. HR has always been an area of interest for me since back when I was in college, so this posting just jumped out at me. I think that I have a good shot at it since with all my years as being in Hotel Management I have experience in interviewing, training, counseling and what not. Plus the job pays almost double what I make now, so I wouldn't have to find a second job (unless I really want to) If I got this position I would just take a 2nd job so I can save up for a new car or a house or something. Yeah....that would be nice. I hate renting, would love to have a house I can call my own again. Oh and BENEFITS! I could get benefits again!! How I miss those! I seriously hate not being able to have health insurance. Yeah, I know, I work in Insurance and don't have health insurance? Well since the office I work for is small, my boss doesn't provide the group insurance offered through the company, and to get it on my own is like $150 a month. Something I just can't afford. So it would be nice to get into a company that offers that again. Ok, now that I am just rambling I am going to stop here. Wish me luck!!
